Police: Woman Busted With Cocaine, Crack Pipes in Car
Hadir Hassan, 26, of Lyndhurst, was charged with possession of cocaine, intent to distribute and additional drug charges.
A Lyndhurst woman was arrested on Highland Avenue last week after police allegedly found her sitting in a parked car with nearly nine grams of cocaine, crack pipes and other drug paraphernalia.
Hadir Hassan, 26, of Lyndhurst, and a 23-year-old North Arlington woman were in the back seat of a Nissan Altima around 10 p.m. on March 21. The car was parked and running in the 100 block of Highland Avenue.
When police approached the car, both women appeared “confused” and “dazed,” and neither could explain why they were there, according to police.

The North Arlington woman allegedly told police there were narcotics in the vehicle that belonged to Hassan, according to reports.
Upon searching the car, which was owned by Hassan, police found a box containing four glass pipes (used to smoke crack cocaine), a digital scale, a wad of copper wool (used as a filter to smoke crack cocaine) and two metal rods (used to pack crack cocaine in pipes).

Hassan was placed under arrest. The North Arlington woman was transported to headquarters and then released.
At police headquarters, police allegedly found three clear plastic bags in Hassan’s purse which contained a total of 8.95 grams of cocaine.
Hassan was charged with possession of cocaine, intent to distribute and additional drug charges, according to police. Bail was set at $20,000, or $2,000 in cash.
