Montclair Man Not Hurt in Fatal Crash

Elizabeth 19-year-old crossed onto the other side of the road and collided with a truck driven by a Montclair resident, police said.

A Montclair man and the passenger in his truck were not injured in a crash that killed an Elizabeth 19-year-old woman Friday afternoon.

Vonshea Johnson died from injuries sustained in the crash after she allegedly crossed the double-yellow line around 2:30 p.m. and collided with a Dodge pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Luis Arnez-Lopez, of Montclair. Johnson was driving a 1995 Nissan at the time and was pulled from her smashed car by emergency rescuers.

Arnez-Lopez and his 49-year-old passenger, Rubin Zuniga, of Orange, were not injured in the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Watchung Police said Johnson died at Overlook Hospital in Summit, where she was transported after the crash.
