Women's Political Caucus Endorses Nia Gill
Incumbent Gill will face challenger Mark Alexander in the upcoming 34th District Democratic primary in June.

The Women's Political Caucus of New Jersey announced it will endorse state Sen. Nia Gill (D-Essex) in the upcoming 34th District Democratic primary in June.
Lisa Chapland, chairwoman of the WPCNJ Democratic Task Force, said, "Senator Gill is an outstanding leader for the people of New Jersey, dedicating her career to public service and advancing issues important to women, children and families. She is well-known as a leading champion of civil rights, supporter of our public schools and pro-choice advocate.
"Women's issues range from fair pay, to access to contraception and health care, and continue to be crucial issues not just for women, but for the families of New Jersey," continued Chapland. "Today, women make up a mere 29% of the New Jersey Legislature and hold none of the state's 12 Congressional or United States Senate seats. That is why it is more important than ever to endorse and support women like Nia Gill."
