Intile & Bernstein Reach State Wrestling Quarterfinals

Mustangs pair marches in to Saturday.

Montville grapplers Taylor Bernstein and Mike Intile will compete in Saturday's NJSIAA state championship wrestling quarterfinals at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Bernstein (215 pounds), who earned a preliminary-round bye, knocked Clearview's Dan Garwood out of the pre-quarterfinals with a 5-0 decision. Intile (152 pounds) beat West Essex's Frank Marotti, 8-3, in the pre-quarters after dropping Burlington's Codie Spatz, 9-3, in the prelims.

Parker Meytrott (145 pounds) will compete in wrestlebacks. He beat Caldwell's Jason Kratch, 6-3, in prelims before falling to Paramus' Nick Alpher, 5-0, in pre-quarters.
Nick Lizza (103 pounds) lost to Passaic's Rinaldy Hidalgo, 6-4, in prelims.
