
After having a hard time finding a bidder for its 2-story press box back in July, the Montville Board of Education finally received a bid from and approved Degler-Whiting Inc. of Fraser, PA with a $120,000 contract.

Business administrator Jim Tevis said the press box replacement was needed and was budgeted for independent of the installation of the new synthetic turf field. Coaches had filmed from the roof of the press box, but eventually weren't allowed on the roof because it was not in good condition.

Tevis gave an update on its construction process in August, saying that it would be ready for the high school’s first home game. The new press box also features a new sound system.
