The community is invited to join together for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Afternoon of Service at First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown.
Choose from five different activity stations for friends and family to support the Christian Caring Center in Pemberton, NJ. Register online or contact Mark Budka at missions@fpcmoorestown.org.

The projects embody Dr. King’s vision, delivering needed service while bringing people from diverse backgrounds together to improve their communities. All are welcome! Please register so we can plan for you and your guests.
Five different friends and family activity stations will support the Christian Caring Center in Pemberton, New Jersey.
1. Decorate Placemats: Craft activity project. Volunteers contribute to the guests’ dining experience through the gift of your creative and giving spirits!
2. Contribute to the guests’ “to go” dining experience with your gift of service with turkey and cheese sandwiches.
3. Hygiene kits. Put together packed toiletry kits for underserved communities.
4 Cleaning supply kits. Donate and put together dish soap, laundry detergent, and toilet paper to help stretch the family budget.
5. Write a brief note to encourage and cheer. “Have a nice day!” can go a long way.

Worship Service to honor Dr. King at Bethel A.M.E Church

Congress designated the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday as a National Day of Service in 1994, making it the only federal holiday observed as such. The holiday is part of the President’s National Call to Service initiatives, encouraging Americans to work together to address the nation’s most pressing issues.
