Disability Pride Celebration Coming To Moorestown
Abilities Fest will celebrate the ways that people with disabilities thrive, according to the organizations hosting the local event.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A festival celebrating Disability Pride Month is coming to Moorestown.
Abilities Fest will be held from 5-8 p.m. July 10 outside Town Hall (111 W 2nd St.).
The event, run by Moore Unity and Moorestown's Rotary Club, is free and open to all.

"Learn about the various ways that people with disabilities thrive," the event page says. "Pet a therapy dog, get your name written in braille, practice walking with a blindfold and white cane, play lawn games, do arts & crafts, selfie station and more. You'll also have a chance to try on a firefighter helmet and take a picture by the fire truck."
There will also be indoor activities in the Moorestown Library for people seeking a sensory break or a break from the heat.

The event will happen during the Rotary Club of Moorestown's 2nd Street Market food truck event.
Disability Pride Month is celebrated in July, commemorating the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in July 1990.
