Barricade Response Ends At Hotel In Burlington Co.: Authorities
After taking a man into custody, police initially believed a second man was barricaded inside the hotel room.

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — Information alleging a man was barricaded in a Mount Laurel hotel room Wednesday turned out to be unfounded, police said.
Dispatchers received an open-line call around 4:35 a.m. The call came in
Officers reported to Red Roof Inn (603 Fellowship Rd.) around 4:35 a.m. after an open-line call through RapidSOS — a feature on phones that alerts dispatchers of an emergency without anyone manually calling 911.

One man was taken into custody at the scene. Police initially believed that another man remained barricaded inside the room, but they later determined that was not true.
The scene was cleared early Wednesday afternoon.

It was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public, police said.
Authorities have not publicly identified the man taken into custody as of this writing. It also remains unclear whether he's facing charges, or what led police to believe that another man was barricading.
Mount Laurel police were on-scene with the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office and other law-enforcement agencies that weren't specified.
