Kathy Mullin Appointed To Moorestown Board Of Education
Katherine Mullin, who previously served on the Moorestown school board in 2019, has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the board again.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Katherine Mullin is set to serve another term on the Moorestown Board of Education after she was appointed to fill a vacant seat last week.
Mullin was appointed by the other members of the board to fill the seat that was vacated by Alexandria Law, who had resigned for personal reasons unrelated to the school district.
She was selected from among 13 people who applied for the seat, five of whom were then interviewed by the board, according to Moorestown Board of Education President Caryn Shaw.

“It was really exciting to see so many people interested,” Shaw said. “She has the experience as a former board member. She can jump right in. She has the training, and she has the experience.”
Mullin was previously appointed by the board to fill an unexpired term in 2019. She ran in that November’s elections unopposed, and finished the remainder of the term. She chose not to run for re-election in 2020.

The seat Mullin was appointed to is one of three that will be decided in November’s elections. Shaw and Board Member David Weinstein were both also up for re-election, but neither decided to run in the Nov. 2 elections. Seven candidates are pursuing the three open seats, including:
- Jill Fallows Macaluso (Children First)
- Joseph Horwitz
- David Vosbikian
- Micahel Cioce
- Cheryl Makopoulos (We're Better Together)
- Melissa Arcaro Burns
- Billie Danielle Thomas (Unifying, Respectful Leadership)
