Man Stole $330 In Cigarettes After Credit Cards Declined: Police

Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a man accused of shoplifting over $300 in merchandise in South Jersey, police said.

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ - Authorities in South Jersey are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man accused of shoplifting over $300 in merchandise from Royal Farms in Mount Laurel, authorities said.

The incident took place on Monday at around 7:50 p.m. at the Royal Farms location on Route 38, Mount Laurel police said in a statement.

A man pictured in surveillance footage (pictured here) attempted to purchase two cartons of Newport cigarettes, police said. However, when two of his credit cards were declined, he “picked up the two cartons of cigarettes” valued at approximately $330 and left the store.
