Two alleged thieves pressed their luck by returning to re-burglarize the Quality Inn on Route 38.

Jan. 18

Smash and grab, 8:55 a.m. — An unknown suspect smashed the window of a car on Brubaker Lane and stole a laptop and GPS.

Burglary, 12:05 a.m. — Two ice machines, a soda machine and a candy machine were stolen from a storage unit at the Quality Inn on Route 38.

Shoplifting, 7:22 p.m. — Police arrested Semaad Savage, 19, of Sicklerville, and Lam Huynh, 40 of Moorestown for shoplifting and conspiracy. According to reports, Lowe’s management alerted police than an employee was working in concert with a customer in a shoplifting scheme.

Jan. 23

Burglary, 12:52 a.m. —The Route 38 Quality Inn’s storage unit was hit again by burglars, but this time the motel manager spotted two suspects and called police. Officers arrested Wayne L. Cooper, 54, of Maple Shade and Bryan K. Smith, 51, of Maple Shade. Both were charged with burglary and theft in the Jan. 23 and Jan. 20 incidents. Both were remanded to Burlington County Jail.

Jan. 24

Burglary, 8:12 a.m. — Keith Ulrich, 29, of Pine Hill, and John Wilhelm, 29, of Maple Shade, were arrested and charged with burglary for allegedly burglarizing a home in the 500 block of South Maple Avenue. A resident reported the burglary in progress to police. Ulrich and Wilhelm were remanded to Burlington County Jail on $15,000 bail each.
