Moorestown Council To Discuss Affordable Housing Thursday

Moorestown Council will discuss an affordable housing project on Borton Landing Road at a special meeting Thursday.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The proposed Moorestown Family Apartment complex on Borton Landing Road will be the topic of discussion at Moorestown Council’s special meeting Thursday afternoon.

Township Council will consider a resolution to execute a first amendment to the development and transfer agreement with Moorestown Family Apartments, LLC, for the proposed development on Borton Landing Road.

The project was the subject of a recent land swap between the township and Lockheed Martin after the defense company and the U.S. Navy expressed national security concerns over a proposed affordable housing complex in the area. The developer is the Walters Group, which plans to develop a mix of 76 market rate units and 76 low- to moderate-income units.
