Moorestown’s Better Together Committee Seeking Volunteers
The new diversity and inclusion committee will work to advise the township council and other municipal officials. Here's how to join:
MOORESTOWN, NJ - Moorestown’s new diversity, equity and inclusion initiative is currently seeking volunteers, according to a municipal notice.
The Better Together Advisory Committee, established earlier this year, works to advise the township council on how to better protect and celebrate diversity among residents, businesses and visitors. Volunteers will also ensure that cultural, economic and ethnic differences are considered in municipal decision-making processes.

11 committee members are slated to be appointed from diverse backgrounds, including ability, age, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and more. Members should have skills or knowledge in areas like community outreach, diversity training, disability advocacy, fundraising and marketing.
At least one member should be a Moorestown-based business owner who may or may not live in the township. At least two members should be Moorestown residents between the ages of 14 and 19, according to the notice.

The committee is set to meet on the first Tuesday of each month in the Moorestown Library, Meeting Room B.
Those interested in volunteering on the committee are encouraged to complete and submit this form no later than Oct. 31, 2022, or forward the completed form to the township clerk at phunt@moorestown.nj.us or 111 West Second Street, Moorestown 08057.
