Edith R. Henderson, age 95, On July 13, 2022 of Moorestown, NJ. Edith was born Edith Jane Rumbaugh in Cleveland Heights, Ohio on May 31, 1927. She was one of 2 children. Her older brother was Paul Rumbaugh, now deceased. Edith had attended secretarial school and eventually became a medical secretary which is where she met her first husband, Dr. Manuel S. Marquez.

Together they resided in Moorestown, NJ with their 4 children, David , Tina, Steven and Pamela. Edith was very active in the Doctor’s Wives Auxiliary of Cooper Hospital and a volunteer. She was a member of the Moorestown Garden Club and the “Dance” social club. Edith was a great swimmer and loved to golf. She had been a member of the Moorestown Field Club. A devote Christian, Edith was an active member of Trinity Church in Moorestown. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all, known for her outgoing, gregarious and helpful personality.
After her divorce in 1976 from her first husband, she finally remarried in 1989 to widower, Brigadier General, F. Paul Henderson, USMC, also an active member of Trinity Church. They created a comfortable life together in Moorestown blending families and traveling to different countries and visiting family until Paul’s death in 2001.

In her advanced years, and after suffering a stroke, Edith lived at home and was taken care of by her loving son, Steven Marquez and daughter, Pamela McCollum.
Edith R. Henderson is survived by her children, David S. Marquez, Tina Cantwell Walker (Marquez), her husband Anthony Walker, Steven Marquez and Pamela McCollum (Marquez). Her 6 grandchildren, William P. Cantwell (Meagan), Robert P. McCollum (Kelli), Neil S. Marquez, Lukas A. Cantwell, Kevin M. McCollum, Nicole Marquez and 8 great grandchildren, Addison and Camryn Cantwell, Connor, Callan and Cassidy McCollum, Avery Marquez, Julian Mantilla and Sebastian Ramos, stepsons, Paul Henderson, Jr. Lofton Henderson and step grandchildren, Kristin Walker-Balthrope (Casey), Dr. Susanne Walker (Austin) and Simon Walker.
May she rest in peace.
A memorial service will be held 10 am Saturday, July 30th at the Trinity Episcopal Church 207 W. Main St. Moorestown, NJ. Interment Trinity Church Cemetery with her late Husband Paul.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Book of Remembrance c/o Trinity Church.
