MOORESTOWN, NJ — The subject of this week’s story time craft at the Moorestown Library is Dinosaurs, according to the library’s website. Story times are held for ages 3-and-up at the library, 111 West Second Street next to town hall, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Anyone who misses story time can create their own story time at home by visiting moorestownlibrary.org/kids, clicking on TumbleBook Library, and watching the Dinosaurs playlist. Leftover crafts will be available in the Children's Room beginning Thursday at 3:30 pm.

Monday, July 26:

Moorestown Knit & Crochet 2gether: a virtual program: Bring your needles, hooks, and works in process to this virtual meeting to start the week in a more mellow mood. The event, which takes place from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., is facilitated by Marilyn Fishman.

Yoga Story Stretchers: Children ages 5 to 10 can learn different yoga breathing and poses and listen to a great story. The program will be held outside the library on Washington Street lawn, behind the library, from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., as weather permits.

Tuesday, July 27:

Watercolor Basics: Come learn the basics of successful watercolor painting from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. You will learn which supplies are best, how to handle the brushes properly, how to keep your colors clean and transparent, and lots more. Taught by local artist Schuyler McClain. Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring any supplies that you may already have. All levels welcome.

Wednesday, July 28:

Teen Yoga: Learn the basic poses and breathing of Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga in this gentle, beginner’s series for teens entering Grades 7 and up, held outside the library from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Family Robotics: Families with preschool and elementary school children can learn basic robotics and how to use Cubelets by Modular Robotics from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Time will be set aside for families to explore a cubelet challenge. One set of Cubelets will be provided per family. You only need to register one family member for the family. This program will be held outside the library on the Washington Street lawn, behind the library, as weather permits.

Thursday, July 29:

Beginning Your Family Research: a virtual program: Come learn how to research your family roots with Catherine “Casey” Zahn, a retired teacher of the Robbinsville Board of Education and a former trustee of the Genealogical Society of NJ, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Friday, July 30:

Mad Science: Wacky Science: This crowd-favorite show tackles super absorbents, polymers, static electricity and dry ice. The event will be held outside on the 2nd Street lawn next to Town Hall as weather permits, 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
