3 Morristown Veterans To Be Honored In Countywide Memorial Day Ceremony

Event will be held in Morristown Wednesday, May 25.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The Morris County Memorial Day Ceremony will honor 10 veterans from around the county Wednesday, May 25 at Morris County Courthouse.

The event will run from noon to 1:15 p.m. and will honor veterans from World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, and current military personnel.

The keynote speaker is U.S. Army Lt. Col. Edward Croot, a veteran of Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Yemen, and Zambia.

The 10 veterans who will be honored include:

  • James Cavanaugh, Morris Township
  • Scott Fleming, Florham Park
  • Alan Frenzel, Morristown
  • Arthur Arno Frenzel, Morristown
  • Phillip W. Gaffney, Morristown
  • Anthony Giordano, Pompton Plains
  • Mildred. J. Grant, Flanders
  • Robert D. Grant, Flanders
  • Juan Guerra-Cruz, Mount Olive
  • Herman Rosenberg, Mount Olive

Rosenberg is a 99-year-old U.S. Army veteran who served in the Phillippines and will turn 100 on June 12.
