Imperial Brass Presents: A Christmas Herald with Special Guest New Jersey Youth Chorus

Make your holidays shine with a festive evening of music with Imperial Brass, a British-style brass band, and special guest Camerata & Cor Amici of the New Jersey Youth Chorus (NJYC). These accomplished musicians will bring an evening of brass and choral holiday music on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Morristown.
The program features brass band holiday repertoire such as Christmas Herald by Philip Sparke, and “The Wonder of Christmas” by Peter Graham, and arranged renditions of seasonal favorites like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You,” arranged for brass by Frank Bernaerts, and Irving Berlin's classic White Christmas, arranged by Mark Freeh.
Th concert takes place at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, where Imperial Brass recorded its latest album A Symphony of Marches and Songs in 2023. The stone building, featuring Romanesque Revival architecture, with a stunning coffered ceiling and works by Louis Comfort Tiffany, was built in 1893-94 and underwent major renovations in 2015-16, which have opened up some of the original elements of the building. The beautiful stained glass windows include the Washington Window, which depicts General George Washington receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion during an outdoor service.
