5 Things To Do Around Morris County This Weekend

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Music festivals, Summerfest and an opportunity to glass blow. There's plenty to do around Morris County this weekend. If you're ready to leave home, here are five things you can do this weekend:

Giralda Music & Arts Festival

Enjoy a performance by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra while relaxing on the lush grounds of the Giralda Farms Corporate Park. The event will include children's activities and an art show and sale. Morris Arts’ traditional creative picnic contest will return with prizes awarded to the most inventive picnics that day. Gates open at 3 p.m. Saturday. Second-Annual Music Festival

Check out live performances from 12-6 p.m. Saturday in downtown Chester. Festivities will feature classic rock, folk, Motown and country. Shows will take place on Perry, Grove and Main Streets. Click here for more info.

Summerfest at Ort Farms

Join Ort Farms for live music, food trucks, craft vendors, the sunflower trail, a beer garden and kid's acivities. The festivities take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Butler's Third Music in the Park Concert

Danny and the Boyz will perform Butler's third free concert of the year. The event takes place rain or shine. Bring a chair. The event starts at 7 p.m. Friday at Butler Park. Find more info here.

Morris County School of Glass Summer Open House

Join in for a free summer open house. Watch live glassblowing demonstrations and try your hands at making your own class creation. Making an object costs an additional fee. The event is recommended for ages 8 and up. It will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at 89 Whippany Rd., Morristown. Find more info here.
