MORRISTOWN, NJ — A brush fire near Morris Township is spreading smoke into the surrounding area Monday morning, officials said.

Residents near Kahdena Road and Foster Fields in Morris Township have been alerted that they may notice smoke or a smoky odor in the area, the Morris Township Police Department said in a public alert.

The fire was first reported Sunday evening, officials said.
