Cocaine, LSD Seized, 2 Charged In Morris Co. Drug Investigation

Two men were charged with possession and distribution offenses in Morris County after drugs were found in a probe, prosecutors say.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — An investigation around Morris County yielded more than 100 LSD tabs and a variety of charges for a pair suspected of dealing, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

A Morris County Narcotics Task Force investigation targeting two Kenvil residents resulted in the seizure of over $256,000, 250 Alprazolam pills, seven pounds of marijuana, 100 LSD tabs, 1⁄2 ounce of methamphetamine, five grams of cocaine, 70 grams of marijuana wax and drug distribution materials.

The seizure occurred on June 21, the same day the two defendants were charged, according to agencies throughout the county, including Roxbury Police Chief Dean Adone.

Authorities said Eldridge Cruzado, 21, and Nelly Solano, 59, were both charged in connection with the drug bust.

Cruzado, who remains detained in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending trial, was charged with the following crimes:

  • possession of LSD with intent to distribute
  • conspiracy to distribute LSD,
  • distribution of LSD,
  • possession of LSD
  • possession of methamphetamine
  • possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
  • distribution of methamphetamine
  • money laundering
  • possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia

Solano, who was released on pretrial monitoring, was charged with the following crimes:

  • possession of LSD with intent to distribute
  • conspiracy to distribute LSD
  • distribution of LSD
  • possession of LSD
  • possession of methamphetamine
  • possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute
  • distribution of methamphetamine
  • money laundering
  • possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia

“This case was a great example of teamwork between all of the agencies involved. We will continue to aggressively pursue cases against any individuals distributing narcotics in Roxbury,” Adone said.

Morris County First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood expressed gratitude for the ongoing strong working relationship between the local police departments and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force, as well as the effort put forth by all parties involved in this case.
