MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — The woman who was shot in the stomach and left to die on the side of a Morris County road has been identified, according to a recently launched fundraiser.
Relatives of the woman identified the shooting victim as India Heath, an 18-year-old Georgia woman. According to a GoFundMe, Heath is the mother of a 7-month-old baby who remains in Georgia.
On Christmas Eve, Heath was found around 9:30 p.m. lying on the side of the road at the intersection of Old Boonton Road and Pocono Road in Denville, the prosecutor's office said.
