County College Of Morris Foundation To Host Annual Golf Fundraiser
CCM Foundation's 2nd annual golf outing will raise funds for college scholarships and military vet students.

It's tee time at the Rockaway River Country Club in Denville for a good cause on September 26.
The County College Of Morris Foundation will host its second annual golf outing fundraiser among the fall foliage of the Rockaway River Club for the benefit of its students, including those who once served in U.S. military forces. The annual outing raises funds for the college’s scholarship program, as well as a new fund dedicated to assist U.S. military veteran students.
“We’re thrilled to be able to once again offer our golfers one of our area’s most prestigious courses,” said Joseph Vitale, president of the CCM Foundation. “Players will find it challenging, but fair. There are many golfers who have always wanted to play Rockaway River. Now they’ll have the chance.”

Golf packages to join in on the day and support the CCM students begins at $195 and goes all the way up to The Presenting Sponsor set, which at $6000, provides 6 golfers special gifts and tee sponsorship, among other provisions. A day at Rockaway River’s 6,561, par 72 course, founded in 1915 and designed by Devereaux Emmet, means teeing off at what is considered one of the most beautiful golf terrains in northwestern New Jersey.
Half of the proceeds from this year’s outing will be dedicated to the new CCM Fund for Veterans and Families, which will allow CCM veteran students to apply for non-academic assistance like housing expenses, daycare, and wellness support.

“Our population of U.S. military veteran students has been growing,” Vitale said, “and this new fund allows us to help them with expenses that are not covered under the new GI Bill. Half of the proceeds from this year’s outing will be dedicated to that effort.”
The outing will also offer participants the chance to compete for hole-in-one prizes, trips, and even cars.
