Dead Man Found Near Morristown Playground

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A man’s dead body was found on a Morristown park bench on Monday afternoon, authorities said.

A second man was taken to Morristown Medical Center, police said.

According to Meghan Knab, a spokeswoman for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, at approximately 2:45 p.m. yesterday, authorities were notified of an incident that occurred on Orchid Street.

On Monday afternoon, a bystander reported two men sleeping on a bench. When police arrived, they found that one of the men had died.

Although his identity has not been released, Knab confirmed he was 25 years old.

While the investigation remains ongoing by the prosecutor's office, the death does not appear to be suspicious at this time, Knab said.
