Dead Man Found Near Morristown Playground ID'd
The cause of death has not been determined but does not appear to be suspicious, police said.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — The identity of the man found dead near a Morristown playground has been released.
During the Tuesday Morristown Council meeting, Mayor Tim Dougherty asked the community to keep the son of Charles McCloskey, a former public works employee in their minds, as he had recently died.
Meghan Knab, a spokeswoman for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, confirmed that Jonathan McCloskey, 25, of Morristown was the man found dead near a Morristown playground Monday afternoon.

The mayor and council did not state any further information on McCloskey's death.
According to authorities, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office responded to Orchard Street at around 2:45 p.m. on Monday after a bystander reported two men who appeared to be sleeping on a bench.

McCloskey was found to be dead, while the other, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Morristown Medical Center.
As of Wednesday afternoon, there were no updates on the hospitalized man's condition.
According to Knab, the cause of death has not been determined but does not appear to be suspicious. An official investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
