4-H Cloverbud Meeting

Parents looking for an extracurricular activity for your younger children in grades K-3? Look no more. Youngsters throughout the county are invited to experience 4-H at this year's first 4-H Cloverbud Club meeting from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14 at the  4-H Office located at 550 West Hanover Ave, in Morris Plains. There is no fee to join 4-H.

The Cloverbud Club specifically caters to grades K-3 allowing them to learn all about various topics like science, art, and community service before entering 4th grade, when they can pick a standard 4-H club to join.

"These clubs help children to learn all about the world they live in while developing friendships, leadership skills, and have lots of fun," said Rachel Lyons, 4-H Agent.

The Club will meet two times per month and club leader, Terri Yost, is promising both a fun and exciting year.

"We will have a very hands-on approach, and try to do things that everyone likes. We want to help the kids find out if they have interest in things they don't even know about. The kids will also get to make new friends while having fun." Yost also said the children will participate in many scientific experiments using everyday household products.
