If you stop by the Ford Mansion in Morristown on a Wednesday morning, you’re likely to be led on a tour by Walter Gilligan, volunteer at the Morristown National Historical Park.
“I’m a history buff,” Gilligan told Patch. “I like history and I enjoy telling people many things they don’t know.”

The Morristown National Historical Park’s Facebook page posted a photo of Gilligan last week giving a tour of the Ford Mansion.
The Rockaway resident has been a tour guide at the home of Jacob Ford for four years.

“I did a lot of studying on the house,” Gilligan said.
The Ford Mansion, built in 1774-5 is a 9,000 sq. ft., 250 acre estate.
