Hit-And-Run Driver Charged In Morris County Crash
Maynor A. Vasquez-Cabrera, 31, of Morristown, was under the influence at the time of last week's crash, according to officials.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morristown man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured another person, authorities announced over the weekend.
Maynor A. Vasquez-Cabrera, 31, was arrested on Friday in connection with a crash that occurred Thursday evening on Route 10, just east of Franklin Road in Denville, leaving one person injured, according to the Denville Township Police Department.
Vasquez-Cabrera has been charged with assault by auto, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury, failure to report an accident, and other related offenses, authorities said. He was released pending a court appearance with the Morris County Superior Court.

According to police, officers responded to Route 10 at approximately 10:54 p.m. on April 24 for a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, they discovered that the driver had fled the scene.
However, Denville Police were able to obtain a description of the fleeing vehicle, which was located shortly afterward by the Morris Township Police Department, officials said.

After further investigation, authorities say Vasquez-Cabrera was identified as the driver and believed to have been under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at the time of the crash.
Vasquez-Cabrera was arrested in Denville without incident and brought to police headquarters for processing.
