How Safe Are Pedestrians In Morristown? Town Launches Survey
TransOptions teams up with town for community safety survey.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The safety issue for pedestrians and motorists alike in Morristown seems to become more prominent with each passing year.
Now, with the help of TransOptions, the town of Morristown is asking residents to take part in an anonymous survey about pedestrian safety in town. That survey can be found by clicking here.
Participants who take the survey can win a $100 gift card as well.

On March 29, Morristown will launch a Street Smart Pedestrian Safety Campaign, which aims to change pedestrian and motorists behavior to reduce pedestrian-related crashes, injuries, and fatalities.
According to TransOptions, New Jersey currently ranks 14th in the nation in pedestrian fatalities and has been named an area of focus by the Federal Highway Administration.

Morristown has seen 51 pedestrian-related crashes, including one fatality, between 2013 and 2015, the organization said.
