Julianne Moore, Sydney Sweeney Movie Is Filming Around Morris Co.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Morris County will once again serve as the setting for a few scenes in a film set to begin production later this month.

"Echo Valley," an Apple Studios thriller, is set to film scenes around North Jersey this summer, including some in Morris County.

According to the N.J. Motion Picture & Television Commission, the movie, whose working title is "Wildvale," will be shot in Hunterdon County through June. A casting call, which was posted earlier this spring, was looking for teenagers with lifeguarding experience for filming in Rockaway, in late June.

Rockaway Township officials confirmed that a film was being shot in the township, but provided no further details.

According to IMDb, Oscar winner Julianne Moore, "The White Lotus" actor Sydney Sweeney, and Golden Globe nominee Domhnall Gleeson star in the movie. The thriller is written and produced by Brad Ingelsby, who created the hit HBO series "Mare of Easttown."

"Echo Valley" follows Kate Garrett (Moore), who is dealing with a personal tragedy and spending her days boarding and training horses at the picturesque Echo Valley Farm. When her daughter Clare (Sweeney) arrives late one night covered in someone else's blood, the story deviates into thriller territory, officials said.

"Echo Valley" is the latest movie to stage scenes in Morris County.

Recently, "It Ends With Us," which stars Blake Lively, was caught filming scenes in Chatham Borough. Last year, Saint Elizabeth University was transformed into a movie set for an upcoming American biographical comedy-drama film, "Dumb Money."
