Man With Gun In Park Arrested: Morris Co. Park Police Blotter

Police made several arrests recently, including arresting a man with a gun in a local park.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Morris County Park Police made several arrests between Aug. 3 and Aug. 14, including for a man with a handgun in a local park. You can read about those arrests, as written by police, in the blotter here:

-8/3: ARREST FOR D.W.I.: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Morristown. An investigation led to Ruben F. Cordeiro, age 22, of Elizabeth, to be charged with Driving While Intoxicated and other moving violations. He was released with a court date pending.

-8/9: ARREST FOR BURGLARY/THEFT: On July 17, 2019, officers were dispatched to the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township on a report of a burglary and theft. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Ayesha R. Gill, age 37, of Morristown, on August 9, 2019, charging her with Burglary and Theft. She was released with a court date pending.

-8/11: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Wharton Borough. An investigation revealed Pedro Cespedes, age 49, of Paterson, to have a warrant for failure to appear in Paterson City Municipal Court. He was released with a new court date pending.

-8/14: ARREST FOR TERRORISTIC THREATS: On August 5, 2019, officers were dispatched to Hedden County Park in Randolph Township on a report of a threat with a handgun. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Pedro P. Guridys, age 29, of Wharton Borough, on August 14, 2014, charging him with Terroristic Threats. He was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Center pending a court appearance.
