Morris Co. Woman Missing For 2 Months, Search Extends To NY

Officials continue to ask the public for help in search of the woman, who is considered "intellectually disabled" and "endangered."

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County woman has been missing for more than two months, and officials continue to ask for the public’s assistance in finding her.

According to authorities, Destiny Erts, of Randolph, was last seen at 11:30 a.m. at the Dover Public Library on Friday, July 11. Officials added that she is considered “intellectually disabled” and “endangered.”

Erts, 26, is a Black female, 6 feet 3 inches in height, with brown eyes and black hair. Officials stated that she was last seen wearing black pants, a navy blue tank top, a gray hooded cardigan, and black shoes, while carrying a light gray book bag.

Authorities announced on Monday, the two-month anniversary of her disappearance, that the missing persons investigation is still ongoing.

Authorities have extended their search to New York City after potential leads indicated she may be there. Morris County law enforcement is actively working with the New York Police Department in the search for Erts.
