MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Morris County so you can start planning now.

The weather should be great for a day outside, with a high temperature in the 80s, some clouds and a low chance of rain (you can see the full holiday weekend forecast below).

• Lake Hopatcong: Fireworks over the lake.
• Pequannock: Fireworks set off at the high school.

June 29

• Morris Plains: Family Day fest and fireworks.
• Allamuchy: Fireworks, food vendors at Rutherfurd Hall.

July 1

• Hanover: Food trucks, music, and fireworks.

July 3

• Dover: Music, food trucks, and fireworks.
• New Providence: DJ, chalk decorating, and fireworks.

July 4

• Blairstown: Day-time field day fun (no fireworks).
• Mendham: Annual Brookside parade.
• Florham Park: Family fun day, parade, fireworks.
• Parsippany: Fireworks, music.
• Morristown: Historical hike in Powder Mill.
• Randolph: The 3-day Freedom fest starts on July 4. Fireworks are on July 6.
• Morristown: Declaration Of Independence reading on the Green.
• Denville: Music and fireworks.
• Chatham: Flag raising, parade, and fireworks at dark.
• Summit: Rides, entertainment, food trucks, and fireworks.
• Augusta: Sussex County Miners are setting off fireworks after their baseball game.

July 6

Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. Southeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 9pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
