Morris County Holds Webinar Series To Curb Teen Drug Abuse
The Morris County Prosecutor's Office will participate in a WEBINAR series concerning substance abuse this month.

Although Morris County doesn't top the lists of those parts of New Jersey most affected by the nation's heroin epidemic, the zone is far from immune. Close to 2,500 substance abusers were admitted for treatment in 2014, according to the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services in the Department of Human Services.
In hopes of getting that number as close to zero as possible, the Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp is aiming for prevention and treatment among teens, the most tragic victims of the sweeping epidemic. Knapp announced recently that the Prosecutor’s Office will participate in a WEBINAR series concerning substance abuse among teenagers. Prosecutor Knapp and Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Chief Assistant Prosecutor Bradford Seabury will participate during the first session, scheduled to be held this Wednesday, September 14.
“I commend the organizers of this WEBINAR for taking a proactive approach with discussing
substance abuse among our teenagers. We need to educate our youth and their parents about the
ongoing heroin and opiate epidemic,” said Prosecutor Knapp.
