Empowerment program will aid physical, mental health and wellbeing.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – A new partnership between the local school district and area’s largest medical center will help students learn more about the healthcare industry.
Atlantic Health Systems has announced a partnership with the Morris School District to help empower students with health and wellness.
According to Morristown Medical Center interim president Trish O’Keefe, the program will help students learn about physical and mental health and well-being so they may share it with their family members and provide farther reach into the community.

“In the coming months, you will see much more from this partnership about not only these important healthy living efforts, but also promoting careers in healthcare and how we can inspire our young people and adults interested in pursuing careers in science and healthcare,” O’Keefe said. “We are continuing to share our vision to ‘empower our communities’ to be the healthiest in the nation, and this partnership is just one more way we can share the importance of healthy living and preventative behaviors.”
O’Keefe added there are a number of programs for young children and teens through Goryeb Children’s Hospital and Atlantic Healthy Schools program and are available to the community.
