MORRISTOWN, NJ — While enjoying Thanksgiving with friends and family can be great, spending hours preparing and cleaning up after a big dinner isn’t for everyone. If you're looking for a hassle-free meal, several restaurants open Thanksgiving Day in the Morristown area will cook turkey dinner — or something else entirely.

Restaurants open for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 24, offer a range of dining experiences, from fine dining to fast casual to fast food. In some cases, you’ll need to make a reservation, so plan ahead as much as possible.

  • Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen (“Thanksgiving To-Go”) Located at 110 South St, Morristown. The restaurant’s website allows you to choose between menus for as little as four guests and up to 20. All orders must be in by 5 p.m. on Nov. 22.
  • The Black Horse Tavern and Pub (taking orders through Nov. 21 at noon), 1 West Main Street, Mendham, order at 973-796-6774, pick up Thanksgiving Day between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
