Morristown Man Arrested For Snatching Woman's Purse, Cutting Her: Cops
Incident occurred Saturday, police say there's no threat to the community.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – A Morristown man has been arrested in connection with a purse-snatching incident that occurred late Saturday night on Western Avenue in town.
Marshall Webb, 46, was arrested late Tuesday night after a warrant was issued for his arrest and was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

At 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, Morristown police responded to a report of a purse-snatching with the victim a 40-year-old Morristown woman, Lt. Stuart Greer said. The victim was walking home when a man approached her and stole her purse from her shoulder, Greer said. The woman also received a laceration to her arm during the incident and was treated by police on scene and later taken to Morristown Medical Center for evaluation.
An investigation lead police to identify Webb as the primary suspect. Webb was jailed in the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 bail.
