Morristown Medical Center Named One Of Nation's Top 50 Hospitals

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown Medical Center has been named one of the 50 best hospitals in the United States once again, according to a new Healthgrades ranking.

The annual ranking released by Healthgrades, an online healthcare information company, placed Morristown Medical Center among the top 1 percent of nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide.

The only two hospitals in New Jersey to be included in the list of the 50 best hospitals in the country in 2023 are Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center in Summit

This is the eighth straight year that Healthgrades has recognized Morristown Medical Center.

To determine the best hospitals in the nation, Healthgrades looked at patient mortality and complication rates for 31 of the most popular conditions and procedures at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide.

The analysis this year found a sizable difference between hospitals that were named to America's 250 Best Hospitals and those that were not.

In fact, more than 160,000 lives could have been saved if all hospitals performed as well as the top 250, the study showed.

Recipients of Healthgrades' 50 Best Hospitals are recognized for overall clinical excellence and providing consistent, top-quality care across a broad spectrum of disease and surgical specialties.
