New Date Planned For Santa's Arrival At Morristown Christmas Festival
After being delayed by rain this weekend, Santa is now expected to appear on the Morristown Green on Friday, Dec. 2.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Santa's sleigh might have gotten bogged down in the rain, but he will be arriving in Morristown this Friday, ready to transform the Morristown Green into a winter wonderland.
The Morristown Partnership, host of the Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green, announced the new date this weekend after a rainy forecast caused the postponement of Santa's arrival.
Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, family activities, entertainment, and Santa visits and photos will take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout December until Dec. 18.

The beloved Christmas festival has been a fixture in Morristown for over a century, beginning in 1913 with a small group of festive volunteers lighting a single star atop one tree on the Morristown Green.
Since then, the festival has grown and is now a holiday favorite throughout the entire county.

On Dec. 2, starting at 8 p.m., hot chocolate and cookies will be available for all attendees, provided by the Hyatt Regency Morristown. The schedule of events is subject to change. For more details, here.
