Preschool Funding Available For Parents In Morris, Somerset Counties

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A local nonprofit is preparing to help parents of preschoolers in New Jersey who may need help affording preschool tuition for their children.

Preschool Advantage has provided tuition assistance to more than 1,500 families throughout Morris and Somerset counties since 1995, the organization said.

Applications for the 2024/25 school year are now available, and those submitted by March 1 will be given priority. Families are asked to demonstrate their financial need and "a commitment to education" in their application.

Preschool Advantage will provide up to $80,000 a year, depending on each family's size. Parents of 3- and 4-year-old children are eligible, for up to two years.

The nonprofit is privately-funded and partners with 28 preschools in Morris and Somerset counties, including traditional, religious-based, and Montessori preschools.

• Presbyterian Church Nursery School, Morristown
• The Frances & Herbert Brody Preschool of Temple B’nai Or, Morristown
• Joyful Noise Preschool, Morris Plains
• Morris Plains Cooperative Play School
• Mountain Lakes Country Day School
• Mount Olive Child Care & Learning Center
• All Saints Academy, Parsippany
• Children's Circle at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Parsippany
• Hillside Preschool, Succasunna
• Long Hill Montessori School, Stirling
• Inspirekids Learning Center, Whippany
• Whippany Kindercare

In this current school year, Preschool Advantage said it funded tuition for 106 students and hopes to fund 100 more in 2024.
