MORRISTOWN, NJ — The polls have closed in New Jersey. Now it's just a matter of the tallying of the votes in the primaries to decide who will be on the ballot for the general election in November.

This year's election cycle will see a change in the Morristown Council, as Councilman Stefan Armington has not run for re-election to a fourth term in the Third Ward.

Six Morristown residents ran in the June 2023 primary election for Morristown Town Council Ward seats. This year, Morristown had a Democratic Primary in Wards 3 and 4.

These are the unofficial results as of 11:04 p.m. on June 6. Results will remain unofficial until certified by the Morris County Clerk's Office.

Ward 3:

  • Robert Bell (D): 114
  • Steven Pylypchuk (D): 127

Ward 4:

  • Bruce Meringolo (R): 115
  • Sandra Mayer (D): 187
  • Christopher Russo (D): 217
