Primary Election Day In Morristown: When, Where To Vote
This year, six Morristown residents will run in the June 2023 primary election. Here's who's on the ballot for June's primary.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The primary election is only a few days away, and Morristown residents will be able to cast their votes in town and county races.
This year's election cycle will see a change in the Morristown Council, as Councilman Stefan Armington will not seek re-election to a fourth term in the Third Ward.
Six Morristown residents will run in the June 2023 primary election for Morristown Town Council Ward seats.

The Candidates running in Morristown are the following:
- Ward 2: Tina Lindsey (D)
- Ward 3: Robert Bell (D), Steven Pylypchuk (D)
- Ward 4: Bruce Meringolo (R) Sandra Mayer (D) and Christopher Russo (D)
This means that Morristown will have a Democratic Primary in Wards 3 and 4.

Meringolo expressed concern about the current lack of transparency in Morristown government business when announcing his candidacy. He cited a lack of information about the township's proposal to spend millions to buy the old post office on the Green and relocate town hall.
When To Vote
The deadline for voter registration was May 16 – 21 days before the primary election.
The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is May 30 — seven days before the election. In-person submission of mail-in ballots must be submitted by 8 p.m. on June 6.
In-person early voting on Vote-by-Mail Ballots is currently available at the County Clerk's Office Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., up until Monday, June 5, at 3 p.m., the Morris County Clerk's office said.
Voters can vote in person at their assigned polling location on Tuesday, June 6. Election Day Polling places will be open from 6 a.m. through 8 p.m.

Where Can I Vote?
Those looking for a drop box can use any in Morris County.
Residents can deposit their ballot approximately 45 days prior to each election. All Ballot Drop boxes will be closed at 8 p.m. on Election Day.

The ballot drop boxes are all located outside and are constantly monitored. They look like USPS Blue Mailboxes, but they're red, white, and blue, and they say "Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box," officials said.
The Vote-By-Mail ballots (VBMs) will be picked up on a daily basis and brought to the Board of Elections. All security measures will be followed when collecting and transporting the VBMs, officials said.
