Primary Election Voting Registration Deadline Nears
Residents will need to register to vote by May 17.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The June Primary Election is just around the corner, and deadline to register to vote is next week.
Tuesday, May 17 is the deadline to register in New Jersey. Unaffiliated voters may declare which party they are voting for at their polling place on the day of the Primary, June 7.
- You may register to vote in Morris County as long as the following is complete:
- You are a citizen of the United States
- You are 18 years old before the next election
- You are not incarcerated, on parole, or on probation due to conviction for an indictable offense under any federal or state laws
- You are a Morris County resident 30 days prior to the election
You are a resident of the election district in which you expect to vote at the time of registration

Affiliated voters in the June Primary Election must vote along party lines (Republican or Democrat). You may not vote in the Primary Election if you are a declared U.S. Constitution, Green, Libertarian, Natural Law, Reform, Socialist Party of New Jersey or Conservative Party member, according to the county.
The deadline to apply for mail-in ballots is May 31. You can do so by visiting morriscountyclerk.org.
