MORRISTOWN, NJ — The search is over. Following the retirement of former Superintendent Mackey Pendergrast on Nov. 1, 2021, the Morris School District has been searching for a new Superintendent to fill those shoes.

The Morris School District has announced that Dr. Anne Mucci has been selected as the district's first female Superintendent after spending countless hours meeting with, discussing, and reviewing all 38 candidates.

"Our goal has been to make sure we chose someone who will be a great match for our very special community," district officials said. The announcement of the new Superintendent coincides with the 50th anniversary of the merger of the district.
