Teen Hit By Car After Leaving Morris Co. Football Game

The teen was struck by the car while crossing Rt 46 after attending a football game, school officials said.

DOVER, NJ — A Dover teenage is being treated for serious injuries after being hit by a car, Dover school officials said.

The teenager was struck while crossing Route 46 on Friday night, the school said. He had been attending a football game at Morris Knolls High School.

"At this time [Saturday morning] the student is being treated for serious injuries and we ask that you keep the student and his family in your thoughts and prayers," officials said. They did not name the student or provide further details on the crash.

Counselors will be available on Monday for Dover students who might have witnesses the accident, or who know the student.
