Tri-Morris Junior Police Academy Camp Registration Open

Students will learn about the inner workings of police departments and the criminal justice system at the two-week camp.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a cop? Registration is open for this year's Tri-Morris Junior Police Academy summer camp.

The two-week camp will teach students about the inner working of police departments and the criminal justice system.

Students who will be in the 7th, 8th, or 9th grade during the 2023–2024 academic year are eligible for the program. All applicants must live in Morristown, Morristown Township, or Morris Plains.

Applications need to be completed and mailed to the Morris Township Police Department by April 15, 2023. The academy costs $200, which includes all uniforms, trip costs, academy costs, and the graduation lunch and ceremony.

The camp will be held at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 W Hanover Avenue. It begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. daily. Week 1 runs from July 10 to July 14, and Week 2 runs from July 17 to July 21.
