Young Morristown Man Passes Away 4 Months Into Wife's Pregnancy
The Morristown community has stepped up to support the Kaiser family, after Christopher Kaiser died four months into his wife's pregnancy.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — What should have been the happiest time of a young Morristown couple's life has turned into one of tragedy, after Christopher C. Kaiser died four months into his wife Sarah's pregnancy.
Kaiser passed away suddenly at age 36 earlier this month, five months before he was set to become a father for the first time, alongside his wife of 10 years, Sarah Kaiser. Now, Sarah faces the reality of raising their son without Christoper — but she won't be alone.
The Morristown community has rallied around the Kaiser family, establishing the Christopher Kaiser Memorial Fund to offset the costs of raising a young child. "Many people have reached out asking how they can help beyond all of their thoughts and prayers. We have set up this page as a way for all of us to do something that will help alleviate some of Sarah's financial stress," friends wrote on a GoFundMe page.

The amount of support from the community comes as no surprise: The couple were a match made in Morristown. They got engaged on the Morristown Green, took their dog Teddy on walks around the town, bought their first home in Morristown, and were planning on raising their family here, TapInto reported.
"It feels like we were just celebrating his wedding to his beautiful bride Sarah, and then celebrating the news of his baby on the way, and now we are left grieving the loss of our dear friend. This doesn’t make sense and it is without question an injustice, but through relationship and community we are doing what we believe Chris would be doing – making sure that life and love are celebrated," friend Matt Bell wrote in a tribute.

"[Chris] was the nicest, most caring person you could ever know. Always making time for people, whether an old friend or someone he had just met at a local bar while cheering on his beloved Giants or Rangers," friend John Santiuste told TapInto.
A die-hard Giants fan, Kaiser was known as "the mayor" of section 17B of the MetLife Stadium parking lot, an obituary said. Kaiser kept active, and exercised daily.
"He took great pride in all the things he loved, including his job as a project manager and salesman for Shehadi Flooring in Fairfield. Christopher loved riding in his new Jeep Wrangler with the top down, vacationing at the his family’s summer home in Manasquan, which will forever be his second home where he has left his footprint in the sand," the obituary said.
Kaiser's outgoing personality was infectious. "Christopher’s greatest love was for his family and friends. He was a friend to all that knew him and was the kind of guy you spoke to for 5 minutes and felt like you knew him for a lifetime. He will be truly missed by many," the obit reads.
"Chris, you were truly one of kind and the world would be a better place with more people like you. We will miss you as a best friend, but we will do everything in our power to honor you every day for the rest of our lives," friends wrote in the memorial fundraiser.
So far, $148,000 has been raised towards the $165,000 goal in just seven days.
"The outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming and such a comfort at this difficult time. Sarah continues to find strength in all of the support and knowing that she and Chris are expecting a baby boy in November," the fundraiser organizers said.
Friends are rallying for Chris, knowing that he won't be there to take care of his newborn child. They know he would do the same for them.
"We mourn the loss of our friend and our heart breaks for Sarah and his baby on the way. We know that he would be doing the same and rallying everyone if it were one of us," Bell wrote.
