Missing 11-Year-Old Girl From Newark Has Been Found Unharmed, Police Say

Police asked for the public's help finding a missing girl in North Jersey. She has been found unharmed.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ -- Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing 11-year-old girl in Essex County, authorities say.

Sarayna Pereira, 11, was reported missing on Friday, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Pereira was last seen at 4:13 p.m. at South 19th Street in Newark. She is 5 feet 1 inch and 120 pounds, with a light-brown skin complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing clear eyeglasses with pink roses on the sides, a gray t-shirt with the word “Link” printed on it, a tan jacket, tan earmuffs, and gray and black New Balance sneakers, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
