New Jersey’s US Senators, Frank Lautenberg (left) and Robert Menendez, had a friendly wager with their counterparts across the Hudson River, Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, regarding the outcome of the recent NHL Eastern Conference Finals between the New Jersey Devils and the New York Rangers.
After the Devils --- who are now competing for the Stanley Cup -- bested the Rangers, the New York senators had to pay up, sponsoring a pizza party at Devils home ice , the Prudential Arena in Newark. Among the guests were young players from the Hockey in Newark program.
The pizza party was held Monday.
