Mayor Cory Booker Sunday once again took to the virtual realm, this time in a lively give-and-take with subscribers to the social-media site Reddit.

The range of questions was broad, covering everything from a program to get guns off the street to his relationship with Gov. Chris Christie (short answer -- it's complicated), to gay marriage to racial disaparities in the prison population. Booker generally gave extensive answers to those questions he answered, while promising to follow up on others. Booker introduced himself as the mayor of Newark and founder of his own social media company, #waywire .

The timing of Booker's Reddit chat was potentially awkward for the mayor with a national profile, coming the same day as a front-page article in The Star Ledger questioning whether Booker's outside pursuits detract from his ability to fullflll his responsibilities in Newark.
