Mayor Cory Booker will be a keynote speaker at LinkedInTalent Connect Las Vegas in October, a conference of professional recruiters hosted by the career networking site LinkedIn, the company announced Wednesday.
“Named to TIME’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2011, Mayor Booker is an extraordinary leader: innovative, social media savvy and devoted to his community,” the company said in a statement posted on its Web site.
Along with periodic television appearances, Booker is popular on the lecture circuit, speaking at political functions, before business associations and at college graduations. In the past few months, Booker has spoken at his alma mater, Stanford, as well as Jackson State University in Mississippi and at . In June he addressed the Washington State Democrats.
